Nabota 100U is the standard vial of Daewoong Pharmaceutical's botulinum toxin type A. Daewoong is one of Korea's oldest pharmaceutical companies, and Nabota is the product it built to compete internationally — which shows in how consistently the vials perform batch to batch.
The 100-unit presentation is the one most clinics start with. It covers a full upper-face session comfortably and does not leave much behind if the week turns out quieter than the diary suggested. Practices doing heavy masseter or body contouring generally move up to Nabota 200U, where the cost per unit is lower.
It arrives as a lyophilised powder and is reconstituted with sterile saline before use. That is the standard format for this class of product and the reason it ships and stores as robustly as it does — three years in the fridge, and far more tolerance for the small temperature variations of international freight than a liquid preparation has.
Why practitioners choose Nabota 100U
Batch-to-batch consistency
Daewoong's purification process is the part of Nabota's story the company leans on hardest, and in practice it shows up as predictability — the same units producing the same result across repeat orders.
Movement preserved, not erased
Clinicians using Nabota commonly report results that soften expression lines while leaving natural movement intact, which is what most patients are actually asking for when they say they do not want to look frozen.
Onset within the first few days
Effect usually begins within two to three days, with the full result settling over the following one to two weeks.
The right first vial
For a clinic trialling a new toxin, 100 units is the sensible commitment — enough to run a proper set of cases without over-ordering.
What it is used for
Aesthetically: glabellar lines, forehead lines, crow's feet, perioral lines, and masseter reduction for jawline slimming. It is also used in body contouring on calves and shoulders where larger muscles are involved.
Therapeutically: blepharospasm, hyperhidrosis, bruxism and limb spasticity. Approved indications vary by market, and treatment should stay within your own scope of practice and clinical judgement.
Composition
The active ingredient is Clostridium botulinum toxin type A at 100 units per vial, stabilised in the conventional way for a lyophilised preparation with human serum albumin and sodium chloride. It works by blocking acetylcholine release at the neuromuscular junction, temporarily and reversibly relaxing the treated muscle.
For patients who ask about human-derived stabilisers, Innotox uses L-methionine and polysorbate 20 and needs no reconstitution, and Rentox is albumin-free.

Handling
Confirm the seal is intact and the cake is white to slightly off-white before use. Reconstitute with sterile 0.9% sodium chloride, adding the diluent gently down the side of the vial rather than shaking — the active is a protein and rough handling denatures it. Use the diluent volumes and per-site dosing set out in Daewoong's prescribing information supplied with the box.
Reconstituted solution should be used promptly and kept refrigerated in the meantime. Most patients see results lasting around three to four months, varying with dose, treated area, muscle bulk and individual metabolism.
This is a prescription product for administration by trained, licensed practitioners only. It is contraindicated in pregnancy and breastfeeding, in known hypersensitivity to any component, where infection is present at the intended injection site, and in neuromuscular disorders such as myasthenia gravis.
