VOM is a hyaluronic acid filler line made by CGBio in South Korea. CGBio is a regenerative medicine company with a broad biomaterials portfolio rather than a filler specialist, and the VOM range reflects that engineering bias: the line is built on what the company calls R2 technology, a multiphase gel formulation intended to give each product an appropriate viscosity and density for its target plane while keeping it stable once placed.
The commercial detail that separates VOM from most of its Korean competitors is the box. Where the majority of the market ships a single 1.1 ml syringe, VOM supplies two prefilled 1.0 ml syringes per pack. For a clinic treating bilaterally that is a genuine workflow difference, and it changes the per-treatment maths. The formulation is consistent across the line at 20 mg/ml of cross-linked hyaluronic acid with 3 mg/ml lidocaine, non-animal in origin. What changes is the gel phase structure and the needle gauge supplied.
The other practical distinction is storage. VOM is specified for 2–25°C, a much wider window than the strict refrigeration most HA fillers require, which makes it noticeably easier to ship and to hold in a treatment room. The VOM range
VOM V – Light
VOM V – Light is the fine-correction gel, formulated for intradermal placement and supplied with both 27G½ and 30G½ needles — the only product in the range that gives the injector a choice at the point of use. It is aimed at fine lines in thin skin: around the eyes, the perioral area, crow's feet, marionette lines and the neck. CGBio positions it for lighter correction and younger patients showing early change, and because hyaluronic acid at this depth hydrates as well as fills, the effect on skin quality is part of the point rather than a side benefit.
VOM O – Intensive
VOM O – Intensive is the mid-weight, most versatile product in the line, supplied with 27G½ needles. It handles medium-depth wrinkles — nasolabial folds, forehead lines — as well as lip augmentation and shaping, and refinement of the nasal contour. The multiphase formulation is what lets one product cover both superficial and deeper dermal work: it has enough body to hold in a fold and enough smoothness to place in a lip. For most clinics this is the highest-turnover VOM item.
VOM M – Volume
VOM M – Volume is the structural gel, supplied with 25G needles for deep dermal and subcutaneous placement. CGBio developed it specifically for chin augmentation and non-surgical nose reshaping, and it is the product to reach for when the requirement is projection and definition rather than smoothing. Its density means it stays where it is put, which is what makes precise contouring possible — and which also makes accurate placement non-negotiable.
How to choose
Concentration is the same across all three, so the decision is about gel phase and depth. Needle gauge again tracks the answer: 30G½ and 27G½ for V, 27G½ for O, 25G for M.
