Coretox exists to answer one question: what can be taken out of the vial without compromising it. Most lyophilised toxins are stabilised with human serum albumin; Coretox is not, and it carries no animal-derived protein either. In a powder preparation that is unusual, and it is the entire reason clinics specify it.
The practical case is straightforward. Patients ask what is in the injection more often than they used to, and "no albumin, no animal protein" is a simpler answer than an explanation of why albumin is normally present. The Coretox range
