Composition

The active ingredient is Clostridium botulinum toxin type A, Hall strain, at 100 units per vial. It acts by blocking acetylcholine release at the neuromuscular junction, producing temporary and fully reversible relaxation of the injected muscle.

Check the vial before use. The solution should be clear and colourless with no visible particles, and the seal should be intact. Cloudiness, discolouration or a compromised closure means the vial goes in the bin, not the tray.
